Pick & Pack & Sequencing Services
Pick & Pack Services entail taking ordered goods out of stock and packing them so they can be effectively shipped to the end customer. CSG offers a variety of flexible order fulfillment options including: breaking down pallets of cases for shipment of individual cases; picking individual items (packs or inner packs) from cases for order fulfillment as well as building new cartons, packs, or pallets to fulfill customized orders and meet customer requirements.
Sequencing Services entails ensuring items are sent in the order of use. This is often the case in Just-in-time (JIT) operations, where time from packing to point of use is critical and accuracy is far more critical. With our established labor force, ISO certified processes, and packaging equipment in place, CSG provides reliable fulfillment service to its customers.
Crossdocking, Trans loading, and Contract Warehouse Services
Crossdocking is an effective solution leveraged to improve transportation service to customers and reduce handling and storage costs. It allows clients to route product from one or multiple manufacturing site(s) to a CSG distribution center strategically located near our clients designated customer population. Product is typically shipped in bulk from manufacturing plants to a CSG facility where it is deconsolidated into multiple shipments and delivered directly to customers. Additionally, special packaging and labeling requirements can be met as a value-added function of the CSG’s crossdocking service offering.
Transloading involves the physical transfer of goods from one means or mode of transportation (i.e., container to trailer) to another. At CSG, we have the facilities, skilled manpower and equipment to handle a wide variety of product…including, but not limited to “hand bombing”.
In addition to CSG’s Warehouse facilities, we offer Contract Warehousing Services to Clients wishing to establish a distribution center in a particular region. Advantages of contract warehousing include a specialized labor force, facility, and standard operating procedures designed specifically to the Client’s operation. CSG has developed a comprehensive “Launch Readiness Process” which enables us to identify potential challenges before they occur and facilitate new operations openings efficiently and quickly.
